Welcome to Emily Westermeyer's volleyball site!
Hi! My name is Emily Westermeyer and welcome to my volleyball site! I have been playing organized volleyball for eight years and as an outside hitter. Six of those years were at Club Fusion. Volleyball is my passion and I plan to continue playing in college. I am a senior in high school and I will graduate in the summer of 2014. Two of my volleyball goals this year are to be Floor Captain and lead the varsity High School team and my Club Fusion team. I am also a good student athlete, I balance school with my busy volleyball schedule and my job at Calvin Klein. My primary college goal is to get a high quality education, however I also want to play volleyball.
I have added some video clips to my site where you will see that I am quick, energetic, smart, athletic and I have great court awareness. I am involved in every play and I never take a play off while on the court. What makes me stand out is that I can dig, pass, set, serve and hit from any position while still blocking and hitting from the outside hitter position. I have led every team I have played on in kills and kill percentage. When I am on the court, whether we are winning or losing, I always encourage my team and keep a positive attitude. If I make a mistake, I shake it off and focus on the next point. I really believe I am a true team player and more than anything I want my team to succeed.
Volleyball is my life - it is a huge part of me and I love playing. I work very hard at improving my game and give 100% at all times, whether it is just practice or a championship game point. My club coach says that I play Volleyball like a boy and I ignore the drama. Thank you for your time and I hope you enjoy my site!
